“HONGKONGESE” RECIPE

Purple sweet potato is one of the hottest healthy food in recently years, and your Vitamix machine can make you the most delicious and healthy ice-cream easily.

Sweet Potato Ice Cream

Ingredients (3-4 servings)

Purple sweet potato 420g ((1 ¾ cups)
Soya bean milk 160ml (⅔ cup)
Rock sugar syrup 30ml (2 tablespoons)

 

Procedures

  1. Wash purple sweet potato with skin with filtered water, and cut into pieces. Steam for 15-20 minutes or until well done.  Set aside to cool down.  Then, put into zip bag and place to freezer for 5-8 hours or unit frozen;
  2. Refer to “Soya bean milk” recipe for making;
  3. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container and put the lid on;
  4. Start the machine on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed;
  5. Remove the lid plug and use the tamper to press the ingredients toward the blades;
  6. Run the machine for 1 minute or until quadrants forming in the container.

TIPS: Taro is also a popular food in Hong Kong and it is also good to make ice-cream.
