The friction of Vitamix blades can make steaming-hot soup in under 10 minutes, right in the container; chilled soups take even lesser time.  Make each blend your own by playing with add-ins like ramen noodles, tortellini, or kefir.

Curried Carrot Soup

Ingredients (2 servings)

Vegetable broth 480ml (2 cups)
Plain soy milk 120ml (½ cup)
Carrots, small 360g (1 ½ cups)
Onion, small 1 pc
Lemon 1 slice in ¼”
Curry powder 4.5g (¾ teaspoon)
Salt 3g (½ teaspoon)

Ground black pepper, to taste

Procedures

  1. Peel onion and lemon, and wash with filtered water;
  2. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and put the lid on;
  3. Start the machine on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed;
  4. Run the machine for 6 minutes or until heavy cream escapes from vented lid.

TIPS: The Vitamix machine intensify the flavors of aromatic ingredients, like garlic, onion, herbs, and spices. So when you’re experimenting with your own creations, add a teaspoon at a time and taste as you go.
